Dual 1216 - traditional idler drive, produced around 1972. It offers a pleasant sound combined with a classic design. This is the version with the original DUAL HS43 amplifier, with a cabinet finished in walnut veneer.
The set includes a vinyl record changer - it allows you to automatically listen to several records (max. 6), one after the other.

On request, we can prepare a turntable for use in the USA (replacement of the motor pulley and change of electrical connections, and adaptation of the motor to an electrical voltage of 110 - 125 V, 60 Hz).

The turntable has undergone a complete overhaul and renovation - the old grease has been removed, the entire mechanism has been washed and re-greased. The engine has undergone a comprehensive technical inspection and lubrication - it keeps its speed properly. The arm lift grease has been replaced with a new one - the lift works with adequate resistance. Replaced with a new capacitor in the power path

The turntable is in good working order, all functions work properly. Dual 1216 - is fully automatic: it allows you to start with one lever, after the end of playback, the arm automatically returns to the starting position. Start can also be initiated manually. Allows you to listen to vinyl records at three speeds: 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm. The latter speed allows you to listen to older shellac records (with the use of the appropriate cartridge). A separate switch allows you to choose the diameter of vinyl records played: 17, 25 and 30 cm (6.69", 9.84" and 11.81").

In addition, the turntable is equipped with "Anti-Skating" and "Pitch-Control" (precise adjustment of the rotation of the turntable platter).

An original, used SHURE M75 Type D cartridge with a used spherical stylus is mounted. The headshell accepts all cartridges with a 1/2 inch mount, weighing from 1 to 8 g (0.002 to 0.017 lb) - including fasteners. Cartridge and stylus are in very good technical condition - data about the cartridge and stylus are provided on the basis of electrical and microscopic measurements.

After using the appropriate element (the so-called spindle), it is possible to automatically listen to up to 6 discs - one after the other. The spindle is included with the turntable.
Headshell itself has height adjustment - useful when listening to several discs with a spindle (Single/Multi adjustment).

Upgrades:

– the old tonearm wiring was replaced with a new 7 x 0.07 mm (7 x 0.002”) cotton braided copper wire ("litz wire"),
- replaced with new ones: anti-interference capacitor in the power supply path

The turntable does not have the original dust cover, the offered replacement (from the "Simple Cover" series) is visible in the photos.

Dual HS43 amplifier:

The amplifier has undergone a full service inspection. All functions work as intended. Some elements (capacitors, transistors) were replaced with new ones, which due to their age did not keep the proper parameters. The final stage quiescent current has been adjusted. A new power cord has been installed. Potentiometers have been cleaned and work properly.
The housing and its veneer have been cleaned and refreshed - it has normal signs of use, including a few minor scratches, spots and scratches - visible in the photo.
Technical details are contained in the enclosed service manual. In addition to listening to the turntable, you can connect external audio sources to the amplifier (Tape/Aux - 5DIN sockets) or PC - after using the appropriate adapter.
The housing and knobs have normal signs of use - minor scratches and scuffs. In addition, there is a small trace of old gluing on the back of the case - visible in the photo. The cover is new, not original, from the "Simple Cover" series. The amplifier has a working headphone output.
